The Board of the National Bank of Romania decided, on Friday, to maintain the monetary policy interest rate at 6.50% per year, according to a press release. According to the source, the NBR Board of Directors decided to keep the interest rate for the lending facility (Lombard) at 7.50% per year and the interest rate for the deposit facility at 5.50% per year.

The Silva Federation will hold a protest rally on Thursday, between 12:00 and 15:00, together with the railway transport unions and those of military reservists within the National Trade Union Confederation Meridian, at the headquarters of the Romanian Government, in Victory Square, Agerpres reports. The unions demand the government not to follow the project of the GD regarding the reorganization of Romsilva. Under the reorganization scheme of the institution, the number of directors will decrease from 121 to approximately 17.
